This is a blog about cloud architecture and cloud strategy.

There are a lot of technical blogs out there showing you how to do things in the cloud. This is not really that kind of blog.

There are a lot of blogs out there that comment on organisations and the services that they provide in the cloud. This is not really that kind of blog either.

I have a few ideas I want to share. Things I have learnt. Stuff that may make it easier for other architects and business stakeholders to develop and evolve a cloud strategy. In this blog I want to cover cloud concepts and industry initiatives so that we are all talking a common language. I want to add a different perspective from other popular bloggers that have vested interests in particular cloud tools and solutions.

I also do want to share some of the practical stuff as well, so we may get into the weeds a little at times.

For this new blog I have chosen the Ghost blogging platform hosted in Microsoft Azure. There are no comments or feedback buttons on the Ghost platform. This is deliberate. I don’t mind a discussion, and I am not adverse to feedback and criticism, however I wanted this blog to be more of an easy reading journal, and I have no time or patience for blog moderation.
